The “social magazine” also comes on Android phones

Flipboard is a software that invites you to browse, discover, read news and content from mobile or tablet just like a magazine.
This beautiful app has been long only for iPad, but the big news is that for some days it is also available in a version for Android mobile devices.
Among the latest Flipboard news is the addition of editorial content in Italian, and the ability to add and use content from Google+ and YouTube as well as from Facebook, Twitter, Google Reader, Flickr, LinkedIn, SoundCloud, Tumblr, Flickr, 500px, Sina Weibo and Renren. Virtually everything in a single App.

How to use

Flipboard, as its name implies (literally translated as a rotating table), makes extensive use of the tactile gesture of the touch terminals to which it is destined, and in particular the browsing upward, since its first use. With a downward curtain you can begin to choose topics and topics that interest us, or create an account, which is not mandatory, but allows you to further customize your readings and keep all customizations stored even if you uninstall the app or if you want to install it on another device, such as seeing the same content collections on both your phone and our iPad. Depending on our choices, the app “aggregates” material from various sources and creates a custom and customized virtual magazine that mixes news articles, post blogs, Twitter posts, photos, videos, and more and presents them in a graphic form of a true Tabloid. Under a virtual cover, always updated, we find a lot of content, with extensive use of images, organized in various sections as well as the old age of the news itself so as to always have the coolest topics in the foreground. By touching content you can read it, sometimes in optimized form for small screens, see it in a browser, share it, add it to services such as Instapaper or Readability and more. As stated at the beginning, creating an account is not mandatory, but it needs to take full advantage of the application not only to save, share content, but above all to improve and customize the reading experience by specifying the sources and services that Flipboard needs to be drawn and what not, even “disabling” (in English the term “mute” is used) and authors who do not interest us.

Where to download the software

Flipboard per Android è scaricabile gratuitamente da Google Play. Flipboard for Android is downloadable free of charge from Google Play. The current version, 1.8.4, requires Android 2.2 or higher and is optimized for smartphones and not yet for tablets, while for Apple product owners it can be downloaded from the App Store for both iPhone and iPad
